New Initiative Calls Attention to Problem Gambling Among Young Ohioans

A new initiative from Ohio for Responsible Gambling (ORG) aims to educate parents, teacher, and other “influencers” on the risks involved with games young people play and how that can be a gateway to problem gambling. “Change the Game Ohio” includes information on the risks and warning signs of youth problem gambling, as well as resources for talking about this issue. ORG is a collaborative partnership between the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Ohio Casino Control Commission, Ohio Lottery Commission and the State Racing Commission that coordinates with state and local partners to provide education materials as well as prevention and treatment programs.
