Ohio law requires that, amongst other conditions, applicants undergo criminal-records checks conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (“BCI”) before the Ohio Casino Control Commission is able issue a plenary license. R.C. 3772.07. Effective April 1, 2019, the FBI fee will increase by $1.25. BCI’s records-check fee ($22.00) remains unchanged at this time. Therefore, on or after April 1, the combined total for the criminal-records check will increase from $46.00 to $47.25.
